I'm looking for a summer job but nobody's employing. What are my options?

All the Summer jobs have been snapped up by the snotty-nosed undergraduates (I'm going to be one of those in September...gulp)... and because of the recession nobody else is employing new people.

Has anybody got any useful ideas for jobs that I may have overlooked?

you could apply for the crew member or customer care assistant position

good luck!!

hope this helps!
Reply:I presume Fast-Food places are the obvious first choice.

Restaurants in general may be cutting back (recession).

You're probably too late for summer camp counsellors.

Baby-sitting %26amp; dog-walking are always in demand %26amp; lucrative.

I worked many summers at a text-book wharehouse store.

Lots of schools order their text-books for next year now.
Reply:i have been after a job for the last couples of months. i've got a fulltime job at mcdonalds now until i go back to college in september. it's a right laugh and good place to work...plus it's full time so i'll still have some pennies to party with over the summer. a jobs a job at the end of the day. it would be perfect for a summer job!

good luck :)
Reply:Volunteer instead - looks good on your cv and it's for a good cause:
