Don't believe those "work at home" opportunities - 99% of the time, they are a scam.

At 15, depending on the laws of your state, you may need a work permit before being hired for a job. I would check with your state department of labor.

I assume you have little or no work experience, so I think it may be hard to get hired at a big chain store. With the economy being rough right now, you'd be competing with a lot of adults for a job at a place like Wal-Mart.

Fast food restaurants are a good place to get a start. My first job was at a fast food restaurant when I was 16. It's hard work, but you'll learn good skills that are transferrable to other jobs, like deaing with customers, handling cash, running a cash register, working as a team, etc. I was able to use my fast-food restaurant skills to get a job as a part-time bank teller, and from there was able to move into better-paying corporate bank jobs.

Another suggestion would be a job at an ice cream parlor (Dairy Queen, etc), or at a local swimming pool/community center, or park. You could become certified to be a lifeguard (if you have good swimming skills) or work at a concession stand.

Finally, if you have a community center or Salvation Army in your neighborhood, try talking to someone there about any possible leads on jobs. They may even have some job programs for teenagers.

Good luck with the job search!
Reply:since you are only 15 most places will not hire you. your best bet would be to try and get a job at a summer camp as a counslor in training.or similar. you can also try to find a job at a small restaurant that is family owned.

If you are proficient in medical terminology, you could consider medical transcription. I was a medical transcriptionist working from home for 13 years while my son was growing up.

Many transcriptionists get their training through a course of study while others carry their medical terminology knowledge with them from other health related fields. You would need to get the terminology down, and then get started. Many companies want experience so there's a catch-22. However, doctors and hospitals may be hiring, and after a time you can work from home as many transcriptionists do.

There's some excellent information for anyone considering a career in this field in the website listed below. No affiliation with any school or products, just good info. There are real job listings and some are remote positions.

Im am 14 and i am currently looking for a job?
when I was your age i got my first Saturday/holiday job by literally going from shop to shop locally, asking if they had any jobs. The benefit of doing this instead of writing on spec, is that the potential employer can see you, they can see you are well-groomed and nicely-spoken and personable and bright, and they will value your initiative.

If you do this, make sure you are dressed appropriately, well-groomed and take copies of your CV with you. And don't be afraid to ask advice from shop owners - they might not have any jobs but they might know someone else who does.

I am looking for a job and I have a felony deferred judegement, do you know of anyone who will hire me?

Look into, harm reduction outreach programs, substance abuse, any prevention organizations, things along those lines.

there's always hope. I did 5 yrs in prison for robbery and when I was released I used my life experiences on my resume. I had many interviews and was offered many positions with numerous organizations. The pay grade is good between 35,000 - 80,000+. I give talks in prisons, crisis centers, schools etc..... you can use ur experience for positive. be dilligent and don't get discouraged. By the way I was also called for several civil service jobs after acing the exams. hey we have options. let me know what area ur from maybe I can help. peace

Once upon a time, there was an independently owned restaurant in my town run by a man who wanted to help people who had been in jail or prison start over. He really made a difference. Unfortunately the restaurant burnt down and he didn't rebuild. After that another man started a bakery where he employed people who had been homeless or had other issues.

The point is, there might be someone in your community with such a commitment.

Organizations like St. Vincent de Pauls and the Salvation Army have thrift stores and they like hiring people who really need a second chance.

Yes, there are people willing to take a chance on you. There just aren't very many of them.
Reply:maybe you want to try at the factory or manufacturing company or something like that as an assembly line worker just to get your foot in the door. good luck with your job search. please do not give up because i am sure that you are not alone and it is not the end of this world.
Reply:Maybe Burger King ^_^
Reply:I work in the auto industry(auto body shops, auto repair) in California, and it seems they really dont care or drug test as long as you can work hard.
Reply:department stores as long as you didnt steal
Reply:Try construction if your a guy, and be stright with the boss. Maybe he'll give you a second chance. Prove to him you can change.

If your a woman, try something else, but do the same. People like it when you don't lie to them.
Reply:Alot of companies will still hire you as long as you were not convicted. Also it depends on what it was for. Its best to be honest and up front about it when you apply and in the interview because they will find out and if you didnt tell them then they will not even bother to call you. Explain the situation, "Dr. it up" you have to to make it sound good and say that it was mistakes in your past that yopur not proud of.

Then again if you were not convicted then you were not too guilty right? If its drugs then Id say you hung out with the wrong crowd but didnt do drugs you were at t he wrong place at the wrong time.

If it is theft say I was with someone who was doing it or it was a stupid dare/mistake and it was a very expensive one that I highly regret.

gotta make it sound good and that you HIGHLY regret it.

Also Id see about getting it expunged from your record it cost about 75.00 I think.
Reply:depends on the crime.... there is always someone who will hire you, but if it is seriously... you may not be able to work anywhere too prestigious... the only way to find out is to go out there and get interviews and until you find someone
Reply:Yea... McDonalds.

Would you like fries with that?

Looking for info on work @home jobs?
http://makemoney.yacam.altervista.org here you can find information and start your online marketing without one cent and no credit card require.

How does it work?

You can earn money by placing ads on your website or in your emails. For this there are various commission models. For instance your receive a commission if a sale is being made via your ad.

So, how do you get to take part?

Register

Apply for partnership with the partner-program of one or more merchants. The merchant will email you when your application has been accepted

After the successful application you place the html-code of an advertising media like a link or banner on your homepage or in your emails and can immediately earn commissions with it.

What are my earning options?

Your earnings are generated by:

View, pay per view - for the display of advertising materials (banner, logo, product image, text link)

Click, pay per click - when somebody clicks an advertising material

Lead, pay per lead - when you acquire a new customer

Sale, pay per sale - when you broker a sale

pay per lifetime - recurring sales commission (e.g., subscription renewal)

pay per period - a fixed fee which is calculated for an individually defined billing period (e.g., fixed monthly fee)

affiliate merchants can offer you a range of condition models, for example, 鈧?.15 per click, 鈧?0 per lead and an additional 25% of the sale brokered. The visitors to whom the sales are being brokered have a period of 30 days to decide on their purchase. During this time, you are entitled to all leads and sales resulting from the visitor's activities.

Every merchant offers all four condition models (view, click, lead, sale). These may also be combined and allocated individually for each affiliate.

When and how will I be paid?

As a rule, only confirmed transactions will be paid out. Any pending transactions first need to be confirmed by the merchant in question. At the point of billing (end of the month), the confirmed transactions need to total 鈧?5 or higher (up to the payout limit) for a credit note to be generated. In "Profile" %26gt; "Account information" (login section), you can authorise this credit to be paid out before the 10th of the following month. For further details, see the question "How do I authorise payment of my credits?" below. All authorised credits are booked for payment on the 9th of each month. Even if you miss the deadline, you can still authorise the payment. In this case, the payment is booked in the next month. Bank transfers are the only payment method available within Germany. If the payout threshold is not reached at the end of the month or if you did not authorise the credit, your existing credit will be carried over to the next month.

Strengths of the business model

The strategic advantages of this business model include:

No time constraints. Bids can be placed at any time (24/7). Items are listed for a number of days (usually between 1 and 10, at the discretion of the seller), giving purchasers time to search, decide, and bid. This convenience increases the number of bidders.

No geographical constraints. Sellers and bidders can participate from anywhere that has internet access. This makes them more accessible and reduces the cost of "attending" an auction. This increases the number of listed items (ie.: number of sellers) and the number of bids for each item (ie.: number of bidders). The items do not need to be shipped to a central location, reducing costs, and reducing the seller's minimum acceptable price.

Intensity of social interactions. The social interactions involved in the bidding process are very similar to gambling. The bidders wait in anticipation hoping they will "win" (eBay calls the successful bidder the "winner"). Much like gambling addiction, many bidders bid primarily to "play the game" rather than to obtain products or services. This creates a highly loyal customer segment for eBay.

Large number of bidders. Because of the potential for a relatively low price, the broad scope of products and services available, the ease of access, and the social benefits of the auction process, there are a large numbers of bidders.

Large number of sellers. Because of the large number of bidders, the potential for a relatively high price, reduced selling costs, and ease of access, there are a large number of sellers.

Network economies. The large number of bidders will encourage more sellers, which, in turn, will encourage more bidders, which will encourage more sellers, etc., in a virtual spiral. The more the spiral operates, the larger the system becomes, and the more valuable the business model becomes for all participants.

Captures consumers' surplus. Auctions are a form of first degree price discrimination. As such, they attempt to convert part of the consumers' surplus (defined as the area above the market price line but below the firm's demand curve) into producers' surplus. On-line auctions are efficient enough forms of price discrimination that they are able to do this.

Reply:What kind of skills do you have? I have a variety of work at home jobs at http://www.homewiththekids.com/work-at-h... you might enjoy going through. No promises on who is hiring right now, but if you see a job you qualify for it can't hurt to check.

Decide if a home business is within the realm of what you mean. Obviously a business cannot guarantee you an income but they can be a lot of fun and can earn very good money or none at all.

I'm 16 and I'm looking for my first job. Are there any places in Houston that are currently hiring?

I need to find somewhere to work - any job that a 16 (almost 17) year-old can do.

It's a program called CashCrate. Companies like E-Bay will actually pay you to try their products and services. You don't even have to leave your computer! Most people make a few HUNDRED dollars per MONTH! All you have to do is spend a bit of time on the internet! As an added bonus, you get 20% of what your referrals make, and 10% of what their referrals make!

Also, you will receive a check from CashCrate every month...you don't have to worry about tons of checks from various companies floating through the mail!

And...they accept teenagers to do this too!
