Looking for a job from home or in game testing in Australia?
there are numerous ways to earn money online, but most of them require certain registration fee. if you wish to earn without investing anything, then i will suggest you PTC sites, where u get money to click advertisements.................. i myself is earning respectable side income from them. all you have to do is register and start clicking advertisements right away.

You might earn slow in the beginning but once u buy refferal packs from the money u've earned, it multiplies your earnings and speeds it up. and moreover its a totally genuine and scamfree way of earning.

PATIENCE IS THE KEY

i signed up for many PTC sites, among which many were scams and did not bother to pay me any money. but the link below indicates a list of those sites, from which im actually earning, on regular basis:

I'm looking for an entry level job in a kitchen that pays at least 10 bucks an hour? WHERE DO I FIND THAT?
Any restuarant. $10 an hour is a pretty standard rate.
Reply:At the begining you do not get paid. Have you tried being a bartender or server ? At least you see the action in front of the house and back.

Job centre
Reply:try the social
Reply:Forgive me asking but how is that a question? And if you're looking for alternative employment, why do you think/expect you're going to find it here? Wouldn't you be better off speaking to an employment agency or your local job centre? And no, you don't have to be unemployed to use their services, contrary to popular belief. Your local shop steward/union should also be able to advise you and if you don't have one, talk to your personnel officer.

Good luck but I very much doubt anyone here can help.

PS And as for your qualification, you don't say what it is or what part of social services you are currently working in so even if there was an employment specialist reading, they still wouldn't be able to advise you without knowing these basic details, surely?
Reply:Just send me your CV; by the way how much do you want to get paid and when would you like to start.

Looking for job!!!!?

im 19 and im trying to find a good job that pays at least 15-20 dollars an hour. Im thinking about becoming a waiter at a resturant like applebees or something but i dont know how the pay is. Can anyone here help me out?! Also i live in texas.
Looking for job!!!!?
Waiting tables isn't about pay, it's about tips. You usually make minimum wage (or less!) from the actual employer - you make up the rest in tips. The better server you are, the better tips you make.

Are you experienced? If not, then you'd likely end up having to work a less-busy shift at a restaurant willing to hire you on. Slow shifts = low tips.
Reply:At your age, the only way you are going to make that kind of cash is illegal.

I would suggest Walmart...
Reply:Take a tax course and become a tax preparer. It's flexible - FT/PT, days, evenings, weekends. It is a very seasonal business but it could turn out to be year-round. You can always fall back on it. You can have your holidays and summers free. Check out www.theincometaxschool.com for course options. Report Abuse

find something that's your passion!
Reply:With spring coming up there will be lots of opening in greenhouses and retail .
Reply:It depends on what work history and training you have, the status of your health and energy level, transportation issues, and so many other things.

Make a list of your 'pluses' and 'minuses' and go from there.

A Wal Mart greeter might suit you to a tee....but then again it might be a waste of your talents.

It is true that the options are limited for seniors, but if you can learn to 'sell' yourself you will find an employer who is glad to get what you have to offer.
Reply:how about taking care of your grandkids,it's more fun
Reply:if you like to travel become a tour guide -- if you have a farming background - just help farmer in the summer -- if you are a engineer and do not mine short stints by your self try working projects for big construction firms -- or take a short course and become a cna!!!
Reply:Walmart hires anybody, same with shoprite

You could be the guy to greet people, or a bagger or cashier, it's all easy.
Reply:School crosswalk guard.
Reply:this sounds stupid but, Walmart. Being a Greeter is easy and fun.
Reply:Lots of firms are preferring the more mature people now, believing they are better workers, more conscientious. usually retail.

Try your local supermarket,DIY outlet.

If your just after filling time as opposed to making money, then charity shops are always in the need of help
Reply:It really depends on what type of experience you have had in the past. You can certainly get a receptionist job, a hostess in a nice restaurant, grocery checker, bank teller, sales in department store or think about opening your own business. Some of the businesses that hire older people are hospitals, senior buildings, doctors office, financial institutions, not for profits, churches, gorceries, discount stores, small retail stores and small companies.
Reply:Walmart, McDonalds, Krogers, Lowes, Home Depot, etc. I think alot of the retailers hire older people to work during the day. At Krogers, I have seen older people bagging the groceries. I just talked to a 58 year old friend of mine this week, and she just got a job as a "parts runner" for an automotive supply store. Apply at nursing homes and hospital for a job as dishwasher or laundry attendant. I don't know what your qualifications are, so you might be able to apply as a bank president. LOL Good Luck!
Reply:By your moniker, you're an outdoors person. Wrangler, right?

WM will hire you. But, you might want the garden center, or even chasing buggies on the parking lot. I've thought of that just for the exercise you get.

Another thought is to start a lawn care business. I know a fellow here in town that lost his high paying job at about your age. He's doing fine with his lawn business.

Get a CDL license and become a truck driver. They're begging for reliable, mature drivers. Both local and x-country.

Really, lots of stuff out there.

Good luck.

Looking for job after school?

im 13 years old but i will be 14 in november

i want to help my dad to pay the bills

im looking for job from 3:30 to 5:30
Looking for job after school?
I think you need to be 16 to have a workers permit =/. But some people might be nice and give you occasional jobs, but i doubt youl find anything steady
Reply:The elderly or disabled are sometimes willing to pay reasonable fees for general help for a couple of hours. Running errands, cleaning, etc. You might find a different customer for several days of the week.

Dog walking and/or bathing if you live in the city is a big deal.

Also, small private businesses (Mom and Pop stores) may need delivery services (on your bike of course) or shelf stocking or such.
Reply:I don't think you are old enough to get a job, the minimum age is 16.

Look for other alternatives.

Looking for job..14 years old..?

hey, i'm looking for my first job, but i have no idea where to start. I'm 14, turning 15 in april. Does anyone have any idea's where i can look for a good starting job?
Looking for job..14 years old..?
Your not going to be able to get a job at your age due to child labor law you must be 16 to be on the payroll. What you can do is look around at little shops like delis and pizza places or trinket shops that are willing to hire you at your age and pay you under the table.

Try babysitting. You can make more money doing that than in minimum wage jobs these days people usually pay 10 dollars and up an hour without taxes which minimum wage is 7.15 an hour and taxes are taken out of that.

Good Luck!
Reply:baby sitting is the best way your 14 so u cant get a real job yet
Reply:Find a local grocery store. You can bag items.

Or a busboy.
Reply:Dog walking, babysitting, and a paper routes are great jobs if u live in N.Y.C!

I'm a college student at Cal Poly Pomona looking for a full-time job in the near vecinity. where should i look
Greetings from a Cal Poly grad! Those are obviously difficult days because of the fact that offices and many other types of jobs are rarely open on Sundays, so you need to look for something that is. Possibilities would be anything in the hospitality field (hotels, restaurants, etc.) or anything in the retail field. If you are old enough and have a good enough driving record, you might look into something like driving a shuttle from Ontario airport. Come to think of it, anything related to the airport is another possibility.

what buisness is best to raise money ?
Looking for job?
Building a business is not an easy process and if you are looking to raise money, unfortunately in the beginning you are going to have to invest money. Also raising money is easier if you have an interest in that field, it depends on what you are good at and enjoy to see whether you will stick to it and make money. The best business are those that require little physical overhead to turn a profit if it's something you are comfortable or knowledgeable doing.

Desperate nurse looking for job!?

Hi everyone!

I am RGN with NMC and I have little experience.

After 8 months searching for job, I gave in a known hospital a successful interview. After that, none informed about the details of job, what must to do and how etc . Yes, of course I call them, several times and also I send them emails. When I said my name in the last call, they just hung up the phone!!

Anyway...

I m still looking for job right now, from nhs web site without results.(except from those hospitals that thanks me for my interest and wish me good luck with my next application!!!)

As for agency, none accept me without at least 1 or 2 years experience.

Any help?Any ideas?

Thank you reader!!
Desperate nurse looking for job!?
Perhaps you could try to find your two years experience elsewhere; like a nursing home, or clinic, or private home for the elderly. I know that some of these jobs will entail little more than cleaning soiled beds but it will get you your two years for the agency, and who knows, it may even lead to something better!
Reply:Nursing homes and Team nurse need nurses bad.

Nurses are in high demand at the moment, try other

places

Reply:That is very odd that you are having a difficult time finding a job???? Nurses have the EASIEST time getting jobs because there is such demand. My nursing friends all the time - so I wonder if it is something you are saying or doing during the interview?????

Keep applying at all the hospitals, clinics and doctor's offices you can find. Check the Sunday papers, check online - I just can't believe you are still jobless????? Also, ask some of your friends and family on some advice about things you can change during your interview. They know your personality or appearance than any of us would know....
Reply:If you totally hounded them for details, you might have pushed too hard. If you were a total nuisance I'd probably have hung up on you too.

Keep looking, and try to think hard about the way you present yourself in interview.

Try to figure out what kind of personality and attitude you give off, and what you need to 'show' to your prospective employers.

(Read What colour is your parachute - it has some excellent stuff in there.)

Also, have people check over your CV and give you feedback.

After a year of unsuccessful job applications I realised I had a type on my CV, where I detailed my GSCEs.

(I'd just become blind to it, I scanned past it whenever I read the thing (I'm also slightly dyslexic)).

With that fixed, I was employed within 3 months!

Obviously this was completely retarded. People screening CVs usually have so many they're just looking for reasons to reject your application and thin the field they have to actually seriously consider. So being thorough in making sure you don't have any stupid errors is important.

I've tried work-at-home, TJ Maxx, Target, and they all require you to be at least sixteen years old. Do you know any sites that will hire people under sixteen. And I can show a worker's permit as well!
I'm a Freshman in High School, and I'm looking for a job?
OH Sweetie...I applaud you trying to get a job but unfortunately no company will hire you (unless you are an actor in a studio) because of the Children's Act that states that no child under the age of 16 years of age will be permitted to work in a company unless consent of parents/guardians/company is consensual. But one thing I advise you to do...become an entrepreneur like Donald Trump or Robert Kiyosaki. Start your own business...that way you are your own boss and make up your own hours. Make sure you also like what do you ortherwise you'll surely fail.

Go to your school counselor and ask if they are available where you live. You get them through your school but the catch is you have to keep your grades up in order to be able to continue to work.

I've been working the same job for the last 10yrs and I'm getting burned out, I would like to change fields, but I don't know where to start. Going to college is a little out of the question due to the amount of time that is evolved. If any one could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.
Need some career advice, looking for a list of jobs in demand for my area.?
Making smart career decisions can start with buying a newspaper or logging onto HotJobs. While you鈥檙e looking at jobs, which career fields currently have the most openings? Find out and begin your job search there.

Also, look here: http://www.bls.gov/oco/print/oco2003.htm

And here:

http://www.bls.gov/opub/ted/2007/dec/wk1...

Just remember that the above links are compiled be Federal Government. BOLS tries to inform us as to where jobs will be in the fututre, and how many of each job type. Do you see any differences between the 2003 and 2007 projections?

You also said that time constraints will not allow you to attend college. Then again, you may already have skills that are in demand.

Best of luck to you.
Reply:It depends what your current job is, so by changing somethign relate to it will be better, because you already know a little bit about it. So, you just need to get into the business, to see if anyone want to train you about the new field.

For example, if you are in computer networking, then you can move to IT, customer support etc....

Start look around what is the job or new profession you want to get around your current working place.
Reply:Yep - 10 years is a good time to get antsy. The trouble with a new field is the entry level wages. Only you know what your local area is - check the want ads and see what is available. The medical field is always good, but you say college is out of the question - but you are going to have to have some skill to offer
Reply:You want a job that requires a skill that you are unwilling to pursue, or a degree you can not earn! You, my friend need to run for office. Any open position that doesn't have a Democrat already firmly planted in a cushy gov'ment job will do!

I wish you luck, but I think you might find this a little difficult as you will possibly have problems getting a work permit/visa to work as a maid (I assume you are not a Thai.) I would also think that salaries are likely to be low, especially when compared to Dubai !

Im looking for a job that doesnt require a background check, or perhaps a job off the books. any suggestions?

Just because you want a job with no background check does not mean it has to be off the books.

Try to work for a small business, and if you have some things in your past that you weren't too proud of, let them know up front. Most of the times the owners who are interviewing you weren't angels in their past either!

Don't go off the books - you'll have a lot of issues with that. For starters, you won't get good pay, any medical benefits, workers comp, and Uncle Sam typically wants to know how you are able to support yourself with making ZERO dollars per year. I would advise against working off the books.

I'm looking for a work at home job assembling jewelry.Does anyone know of any scam free sites?

I love to make jewelry but it is so hard to get out there and set up somewhere to sell what I make so I've come to the conclusion that maybe I can assemble for someone else and get paid for it.It actually costs me more to have to go out there and pay for a booth in some flea market or outside a shopping center then everyone wants everything for $1.Any suggestions?
I'm looking for a work at home job assembling jewelry.Does anyone know of any scam free sites?
I've never been able to find a work from home job like data entry or online surveys which allowed me to make a real income.

But this is what I do - I usually buy 200 items on ebay for 1cent each every week, all these items are sold with free postage worldwide. So if you just buy 5 items, total cost to you in just 5cent.

These ipod covers, cables etc are shipped from Hong Kong and China, but once they're delivered, you can then resell them yourself on ebay for $1 to $2 to people in your own country.

My blog shows how to find these 1cent items on ebay, using the advanced search. There's no need to spend more than 5c per item as there's thousands of items listed like this, so if you get outbid on one auction, just wait a few minutes until the next auction is ended.

Let me know if you have any questions about this.
Reply:"If a company requires initial payment from you in order to work for them, they are not legitimate."

There are a few legitimate data entry companies but are not hiring and have large waiting lists (1-2yrs). The majority of data entry jobs you seen online are scams. A real company will want you to have skills inc fast typing, may want you to know MS Excel, and will usually ask that you have high speed internet. Once in a long while you may found one online on a job website but thats rare.

If you do an advanced search on yahoo, you will find previous answers, sometimes the info on these is good as the info they gave is likely to have been verified if the answer was voted as 'Best'.

I am looking for a job, online, stay at home....?

I need a job. I want a stay at home, online, make good money, non spam one. I don't want to be ripped off, or scammed. I just need money and as of now I can't get out of the house. Please help..advice. Thanks.
I am looking for a job, online, stay at home....?
With online jobs your looking at making minimum wage earnings. After taxes your looking at your take home being below minimum wage. I don't think this is the amount of money your looking for. All home jobs rather they're online or off line are all very low pay.

Your best bet if you want to be able to stay home and work online, is to start an online business. However, to start a business there will be investments. Most are under $500, so it's not an arm and a leg. You'll need a computer, which I'm sure you already have since your here on yahoo. You'll also need a phone, which I'm sure you already have being as your using the computer to be here on yahoo.

Your best bet and cheapest way to go is to partner up with a company that direct sales a product. You can have the company set up a web site for you to sale the products and services. After you've set it up, you'll have to generate traffic to your site as means of either advertisement (which you'll have to spend a lot of money doing) or the more effective way is word of mouth and referals, which are free and more effective. Partner up with a company that gives you monthly earnings from services that you put people on either by in person, phone or from your web site. What I mean is for instance, using the telecommunications service industry (land lines, Internet, cell phones etc. Take the cellular industry for an example. Someone purchase a cell phone from your web site, or a land line or Internet service or whatever, the product it'self your able to provide at a whole sale cost as a distributer through these providers. When someone gets on the services, the company pays you a percentage of that person's billing every single month, month after month for the referal from you by word of mouth or by your web site.

Once you decide on a product and/or service, you need to start driving "traffic" to your web site. A lot of work but well worth the effort when your income starts going and rapidly increases. The most effective way I've found is simply word of mouth and referrals. We've had our business for over six years and this has been the most effective way. Loyal customers bring in more customers by the way you treat them, the quality of the items you have and the timely matter of the service you provide.

Reply:Hello, Meagan B,

Here is a link to an article entitled "MLM Success and Network Marketing - What is MLM / Network Marketing REALLY?"

http://www.passionfire.com/article2.htm

Lots of home businesses are Direct Marketing (MLM) and are NOT scams. But of course you do have those that are. You also have the companies that are legit, but concentrate only on making money for themselves and let their distributors eventually hang out to dry. So, you have all kinds.

You need to search and search wisely. Read about Direct Marketing (MLM) and learn what to look for so you will not fall prey to the schemers.

I am a fortunate one that has found one of the good ones out there. The company is run with integrity and leadership.

What you are looking for is what so many people are looking for...and the good companies are out there. But, what some people are really looking for is a quick way to make money. If that is what a person is looking for, then a legit MLM is not the right home business for them.

If you are new to Direct Marketing/MLM the money will happen, but it will not happen overnight. Of course it will happen faster for the seasoned Network Marketer. But, any business just starting out has to give it time to grow as well as giving yourself time to grow.

The criteria you mentioned describes the company I am with to a tee. But, remember, it will not happen overnight...it will happen...but, only if YOU are DEDICATED to your business, and DETERMINATED to succeed. YOU can do anything in your life with those two traits.

I would be glad to speak with you to find out what you want in a home business and to help you discover if this is the right one for you.

I hope I have given you quality information and have inspired you to go after what you truly want.

Take care.

I'm 14 and looking for a part time/holiday job in Sheffield, anyone have any ideas on where i should start?
How are you Lauren?

I'm not sure of your local area but give it all you've got!

Go in there confident but not cocky.

If you have a particular place in mind, do your research about what the business is about and it's history. This will impress the interview (potential boss).

Start small, if you think that the particular job might be boring or lame etc, It doesn't matter, you have to start some where... just work yourself up to what you are good at!

If you have already been employed before, just have a look at your strengths and use these to get you your new job.

If you are looking for a job that is really 'you', Work out what your passions have been for most your life. What have you enjoyed doing? (Are you better wiht your hands or your head), are you a people person, or behind the scenes. This may not help but I wish you all the best. Just remember to sell yourself but more importantly 'be your self'. Hector

Does anybody know where I should start looking for a work-at-home job?

I've seen some companies pay people to take surveys or type out files both of which I would be interested in doing. I've tried to look into it through google but I've ended up with all websites that want me to pay first for their "exclusive" information. If anyone does work like this or has an idea where I could start it would be a great help. thanks

Reply:well, you can always go to one of your local doctors offices and type up the dr's notes... like transcripts or something, but that can def get long and boring if you're not up to sitting at a computer all day. or there are mystery shoppers where a certain company will send you shopping and tell you certain things to get or like, certain things to do (like, dropping someting or demanding something) and that's not a big paycheck but it's still a job :D
Reply:If you are an accomplished typist - word processor and have recently visited your local city college or university librarian, you can apply as a "certified" graduate typist, earning between $1.50 to $2.00 per page for a master or doctoral thesis. The librarian will provide you with a sample of the typing template (i.e., margin settings, font selection, page set up, etc.) in order to complete these projects. An average weekend income is about $300-$400 for two days work.

Good luck!
Reply:it is better to try google adsense

because Working with Google Adsense does not require any special skills or talents are rare, all you need is a personal computer at home and enough time every day to work and a willingness to learn.

No limits to what can be achieved by the profits and gains by working with Google Adsense. It does not require - as I mentioned earlier - any special skills in programming or development sites, and there enough genuine desire to learn, in addition to the allocation of sufficient time every day (from 5-7 hours per day) it will decrease over time and will not need more than an hour or two each day to carry out your business.

Encourage him to get involved in a 12 step program or a Celebrate Recovery program. Many local churches offer these CR programs and they often have insider employer contacts to get entry level jobs for folks and help rebuild their lives.
Reply:Felony charges for CCW AND Dom Viol is very serious for any positions that has a background check. Especially if the charges are recent. Your friend may have had a bad day when he got charged with this, but many employers can not risk someone who breaks CCW laws and has dom viol. It's too risky and it probably goes against some company hiring practices. This is to keep current employees safe, I would hate to have someone work for me who I know concealed carry.

Your friend will probably have to settle for lower paying positions at retail stores such as Wal-Mart, Costco or other places that don't require criminal background checks.

You are too young to be a waiter. Minimum age is 18- since part of the job requires serving alcohol. How about being a busboy? Fast food?

Im looking for a 2nd job, which would make me more money? Shot girl or on call banquet server?

I went on an interview as a cocktail server and since i have no experience they offered me a job as a banquet server for when they have events and need extra help.

I also got a call back for an interview as a shot girl for the weekends.

which one do you think would pay better?
Im looking for a 2nd job, which would make me more money? Shot girl or on call banquet server?
Neither one pays very well. And you will spend a lot of time "on call" and waiting for more jobs than they give you. So go ahead and interview for both. Maybe one can lead you to a better position. Try the waitress since there is less "silliness" from the customers. Ask the other waitresses where they work when they are not doing banquets and ask if they will recommend you..
Reply:If you dont mind working on call, I would advise contacting all catering services and offering to work on call that way you should get regular nights.

Whilst I am not sure about the pay I would imagine that a cocktail server would be working much longer hours and dealing with a larger number of drunk people. Where as once the meal is over and things are clean you can head off, this would be more beneficial if its a second job because you dont want to exhaust yourself and place your first job at risk.

Should i start looking for a new Job?

Ok so i have been working for my company for 3 years now. I have hated my Job since day 1 BUT it was benifits and a paycheck right out of college. I am currently going to grad school because this job has given me ZERO "experience". Should i quit my job and start looking? Should i get a job in my field of current study of "Human resource?" Or do i wait until i have graduated which will be May of 2009 with a Masters degree???
Should i start looking for a new Job?
never quit a job without having another one lined up.
Reply:You should try to get a job in your current field. Try getting a job being an HR Assistant, then you can learn about how the company works, and when you do graduate, you can become a HR Manager!

Every job, as much as it sucks or not gives you some kind of experience. I had a job once where I basically did nothing all day, but on paper, I made it sound amazing! Try to find the good points and accentuate them!!
Reply:I really appreciate you for discovering that you are in a wrong job. I would really not advice you to wait until you finish your Masters degree in 2009. If you immediately get a new job you can gain experience and pitch in for a role change when you are a Master degree holder. Now that you have lost 3 precious years come out of that mindset of accepting any job which comes your way since you are desperately trying to shift for a new job. Start looking out and don't do the mistake of quitting your present job before you get a suitable offer at least. Because trying for a new job when you are jobless is entirely different from trying for a new Job when you are in to some job. When you are still working you are confident enough so that you can achieve your goal with ease. If you are interested in HR please apply for some entry level HR positions. There people would just check your learning aptitude and reasoning capabilities.
Reply:I would try to find a job that helps you pay for your masters degree.
Reply:Hi,

What is that you would gain my leaving a job that pays your bills? This is the question you need to ask.

If the answer is better grades, better education keeping a view on long term gains , makes sense to leave the job and concentrate on studies otherwise I guess you are better of "earn while I learn" philosophy.
Reply:Start looking for a job in the field of your interest. Just do not quit your current job unless you have another one. Apply to places where you can get the experience you need. Good luck.
Reply:try to find a job that'll help pay for your masters. If this job isn't providing you with experience in your field, there's no reason to stay, start looking elsewhere. Dont leave w/out another job lined up though
Reply:I have been in that position and have met a few others in that position. It all depends on if you can live without your pay check for awhile. If you have enough savings to live for 2 years, you may want to become a full time student, instead of your coursework taking the back seat to the job. On the other hand, if you need the income, you may have options. Also, it generally is not wise to walk away from a job without a new one to go to. It is very hard when the job you are in does not live up to your expectations, but if it is paying the bills and you have only a limited amount of time until you get your degree and can move up, then why not put up with it. On the other hand, there are employers who will hire someone who is working on a degree and will promote them or pay them more once they get that degree completed. I guess if it were me, I would look for jobs in my field that will reflect my Masters degree and be very selective about which ones I look seriously at. Remember, once you submit that resignation, there is no going back.

I'm looking for a data entry job that would require only typing. What kind of job would be best?
There aren't a lot of those jobs left anymore. Thirty years ago there were lots, but with PC's, a lot of data entry is done right into online systems by whoever has the info, so there are very few straight typing/data entry jobs left. But watch the ads for your area in the newspapers and online to find any openings. Good luck.

I am desperately looking for a home based job doing data entry. any legitimate companies?

i reside in illinois and searching for a part time home based job doing data entry I have over 5 years experience.
I am desperately looking for a home based job doing data entry. any legitimate companies?
Not for legitimate "work from home and get paid like an employee" jobs. They dont exist.

However you can if you choose, invest some money and start your own home based business. You will need to pay for a business license, pay taxes and pay for advertising.

Or you can apply to the finance companies %26amp; banks. They sometimes have data entry shifts doing the overnight shift - entering all the transactions (keyboarding) done during the previous 24 hours.

Im looking for a job in Antelope,CA. I called every pizza place and they said i have 2 be 16.?

Im 15.5 and im looking for a job 2 save up for a car does anyone have any ideas??
Im looking for a job in Antelope,CA. I called every pizza place and they said i have 2 be 16.?
Here's a short list of jobs which you can create to generate income:

1. Learn calligraphy so that you can provide handwritten invitations and thank you notes to prospective wedding parties, birthday celebrations, etc. Seek out clients through wedding planners at nearby churches and temples. A starter calligraphy kit usually runs around $20 and anyone can easily pick up this skill. The going rate is usually $1 per hand addressed item.

2. Seek from your neighbors a gardner position which involves planting, weed removal, plant/tree trimming, light brush clearance. You will be using the neighbor's equipment and tools. Again, do not represent yourself as a lawn mower since there are any number of safety issues involved. A door-to-door solicitation of surrounding neighbors is required and you can charge between $6 to $9 per hour.

3. Offer policing/removal or clearance of trash services to surrounding neighbors which involve trash pickup within nearby residential area. Limit the extent of pickup to small areas and be aware that there are no hazardous terrain or elements involved in this process. Again, a door-to-door solicitation of neighbors is in order. You can charge between $6.75 to $7.50 per hour.

4. Acquire a set of window cleaning tools [a bucket, liquid window cleaner, sponge, squeegee, handle with an extension and a small step ladder] and solicit local businesses for your window cleaning services. However, be careful to limit the height of the window cleaning to no higher than one story. Charge $1 per window panel.

5. Why not become a paid feeder servicing the disabled at nearby nursing, convalescent, assisted living/care centers and hospitals. It involves feeding food to patients who are unable to feed themselves. The starting rate is $8.00 per hour. The only downside is that one has to take precautions to wash one's hands after each feeding. A posting of your services [by a business card or flyer] on a reviewable bulletin board would be enough to generate customers. The paid feeder position is one of the fastest growing occupation at this time.

Good luck!

I called many stores because I am 14 looking for a job. This was the response they gave which makes me happy after looking for so long.

Find a local one go online and apply and go in store to apply or call and ask if they are hiring.

What I did was Google a bunch of business near my home and found their numbers using Google maps or their sites and I called and directly asked if they are hiring and what age do they hire at.

Try local grocery stores, pizza parlors, retail stores, fast food restaurants.

Im looking for a job and im 16 a high school student going to the 11th grade?

mcdonalds will always hire.

working in the restaurant business will be good. either as a hostess or a busser

there aren't very many options for a 16 year old especially since your still in high school. many employers don't like to hire high schoolers unless if you have an extremely good resume.
Im looking for a job and im 16 a high school student going to the 11th grade?
I tried different places such as stores like KMart (they didn't have WalMart, yet) and other stores in the mall when I was your age. %26lt;I ended up getting a referral thru a friend to work in an amusement park.%26gt;

What you should do is to go into the store and either ask for a manager or where the Human Resources department is (be friendly, but NOT FAKE FRIENDLY AND DON'T GO INTO THE BUSINESS WITH YOUR FRIENDS) and then ask if they are accepting applications and then, if they are, fill it out completely %26lt;you don't have to have job experience to get a job because they consider it to be an 'ENTRY-LEVEL position', but if you ever babysat for a neighbor, etc, put it down as Job Experience and list the Reason for Leaving as: It was on an AS NEEDED basis.%26gt;

While businesses are NOT suppose to base a position on Age (although they can say that you have to be a minimum age of 16, 18, etc.), Sex, Race, etc., if you present yourself in a professional manner, sometimes, they will call you in for an interview.

You can also ask your friends and neighbors if they know of a place that is hiring.

Some of the places you could try are: Department stores, car washes, neighbors with young children who might need a sitter or even your school counselor might have a reference resource for you to try or maybe you could check with some of the nearby elementary schools after school starts and maybe you could tutor some of the younger kids in subjects you are good in.

Good Luck.
Reply:work as a cashier (basically anywhere that doesn't require being 18 will accept you).

This could include places like the ice cream store, the grocery store, a knitting/sewing store, a shoe store. Lots of options available to you. A lot of the high schoolers I know who have jobs are cashier at some type of store.

Be sure to get a work permit (as this is required for every worker who is under 18). You can usually find them at your local high school.
Reply:Try your local mall. Abercrombie, American Eagle, Hollister most teen apparel stores will hire you at 16. The pay is okay for a high school student living at home and if you like the clothes you can get discounts to your benefit.
Reply:where do you live? do you have any little kids stores like limited too, libby lu, etc around you? or maybe a waterpark, they hire kids who are young.

Am i old at 26?i just came back from travelling. I am single and looking for a job. I want to work in fashion.?
you know what they say "age is just a number" you are only as old as you feel.

Best of Luck
Reply:26 isn't old, fact, you can change career now and its all fine. You are young and Independence is but a try away so don't worry yourself about your age.

As for work in fashion its possible but you are going to have to work really hard, sometimes the jobs that no-one else will do and often for very little pay. This is because these jobs are based on previous industry work (hence why you start low), your ability to work, time keeping, name dropping parties, functions, work ethic and being able to keep up with something that is forever changing.

It can be done but you have to ask yourself if you want to do the work, what area and how you will be able to do it.

You could try doing a fashion course or you could do a few weeks free work experience to get started or you could work in a 'trendy' clothes shop for designer clothes, keep note of trends and do free work at weekends and evenings. It's really not an easy industry to get into, same as writing, film, acting, painting and music but it is possible if you are realistic and don't expect results over night, it may take years...! But like I said, you are young enough to try so go for it.

Good luck, hope this helps.
Reply:There is no way you are too old.

When I was at college earlier this year studying fashion, there were a couple of women who were in their early 30s and had come back to start a career! You need to get back into education if you want a good job in the fashion industry. You'd be classed as a mature student (over 21) if you applied to university. Some courses will let you in based on your life experience, some wont. Go to your local college and ask for some advice, because if you dont do it now you will regret it in the future! Good luck.
Reply:I'm your age, and you are certainly not old. However you may want to shift your priorities. I love to meet people and go dancing as well, but I definitely put my job/financial situation first.

I would focus on getting a job, or getting into a school where you can study fashion if you're serious. Since you're 26 you can apply for financial aid as an independent so you won't need your parents' help. I would start saving money as well, for moving out costs and a rainy day fund.

Your life isn't over! It's just a new chapter beginning.
Reply:I had to laugh at the thought of someone thinking they were old at 26! You have years and years ahead of you!

Now, where do you want to be in those years? That's what you need to think about. First, imagine where you want to be 10 years from now. Then outline what you need to do to get there. Be realistic. Don't think "I must win the lottery." That's unlikely to happen. Instead think of concrete steps to get where you want to be. Something in fashion, eh? How about applying fo ra job even in retail fashion as a start. Or, is you are interested in design, look at schools that can help you get the skills you need. That's how you get where you want to be.

If you sit at home without a plan, in 10 years you are likely to still be sitting there at home with your parents. So.. get busy! It's all up to you!
Reply:The worst thing about coming home are the memories you bring with you and the wish that you could go back, whether that's after a holiday, or after a residential stay for any length of time.

Settle in again, and give yourself time to come back down to earth, then make some enquiries as to what it is you're looking for in regards to a career.

It may take a couple of years to actually train and acquire those qualifications, but don't loose that goal, 26 is no age at all to realise your dreams.

And whilst your achieving this, you can give yourself the time to make proper plans as to where you'd like to live, your financial requirements, what employment is available, and who you could contact to eventually get there.

Go for it !!! you've nothing to loose and everything to gain

Hi, I'm 17 years old and I am looking for a job.?

I'm trying to find a steady job, other than babysitting, that I could do 3 times a week perhaps. I'm in desperate need of money and I was wondering what are some good places for a 17 year old girl to work are?
Hi, I'm 17 years old and I am looking for a job.?
Hi. I've been working since I was 15 years old. My first job was after school at a small florist/gift shop. It was a lot of fun and a great first job. For the next two years I worked as a waitress at various restaurants. Not the most fun job, but I made more money than most people, sometimes averaging about $200/night in tips, plus wages. Now at the young age of 18, I have a career as a paraprofessional with developmentally disabled kids as a county employee. I am going to school concurrently in order to move up eventually becoming a teacher. I don't think that I wound have been able to achieve this at my current age had I not started building work ethic at 15. I found all of my jobs by picking up the yellow pages and flipping through the pages, writing down places that I'm interested working in. Then I called asking who was currently hiring. Hope that helps, it's always worked for me. :)

Get a paper round. Unfortunately theres a lot of laws that mean you can't get a real job at such a young age. Or you could start your own business like car-washing or dog-walking. Advertise yourself. Best friend is looking for a job, tips?

My best friend is looking for a job. Nothing fancy or too specific..

shes 19 years old and wants a part time job while going to college. She has gone to the mall and asked for applications in basically all of the stores and they either tell her that they arent hiring, to apply online (she doesnt have the internet so I usually do that for her but they never get back to her) or she fills out an application and never gets a call back.

I have had the same job since I was 16 years old so I dont have much expierence in job hunting these days and I'm not sure how to help her out. When she goes to pick up applications she always makes herself look very presentable (not under dressed or over dressed. Usually with something like a nice pair of black or kaki pants and a nice shirt and shoes) and she presents herself very well.

What could be the problem? any other advice is much welcome!!
Best friend is looking for a job, tips?
Your friend sounds nice, so I wish you both well. I did not have this problem when I was 19, but things have really changed since then. You are right when you say much is now done on the internet. Maybe the college she will be attending could be of the most help, since they really strive to help their students to become sucessfull. Best wishes!
Reply:Volunteer work often leads to employment. If you have the time, work as a volunteer!

First, does the school have a career center? They often have good leads for p/t work.

Also, she can try registering with temp agencies - they may have flexible work available.

And, since she's got food service experience - other, related positions are easier to find.

Best of luck %26amp; you are doing a good job supporting your friend as well! (but make her do her own typing %26lt;wink%26gt;)

Reply:Don't worry, I have a 17 year son who has been looking also for an after school job, and not one bite.

I am seeing alot more High School Students applying for jobs more then ever, therefore making it more difficult in finding an opening.

Have your friend continue doing what she is doing and have her advise other friends that she is looking for a job and if they hear anything to please keep her informed.

Good Luck.
Reply:the problem is not her..its just there not hiring...Why don't she look for jobs at monster.com or career bulider website
