At 15, depending on the laws of your state, you may need a work permit before being hired for a job. I would check with your state department of labor.
I assume you have little or no work experience, so I think it may be hard to get hired at a big chain store. With the economy being rough right now, you'd be competing with a lot of adults for a job at a place like Wal-Mart.
Fast food restaurants are a good place to get a start. My first job was at a fast food restaurant when I was 16. It's hard work, but you'll learn good skills that are transferrable to other jobs, like deaing with customers, handling cash, running a cash register, working as a team, etc. I was able to use my fast-food restaurant skills to get a job as a part-time bank teller, and from there was able to move into better-paying corporate bank jobs.
Another suggestion would be a job at an ice cream parlor (Dairy Queen, etc), or at a local swimming pool/community center, or park. You could become certified to be a lifeguard (if you have good swimming skills) or work at a concession stand.
Finally, if you have a community center or Salvation Army in your neighborhood, try talking to someone there about any possible leads on jobs. They may even have some job programs for teenagers.

there's always hope. I did 5 yrs in prison for robbery and when I was released I used my life experiences on my resume. I had many interviews and was offered many positions with numerous organizations. The pay grade is good between 35,000 - 80,000+. I give talks in prisons, crisis centers, schools etc..... you can use ur experience for positive. be dilligent and don't get discouraged. Once upon a time, there was an independently owned restaurant in my town run by a man who wanted to help people who had been in jail or prison start over. He really made a difference. Unfortunately the restaurant burnt down and he didn't rebuild. After that another man started a bakery where he employed people who had been homeless or had other issues.
The point is, there might be someone in your community with such a commitment.
Organizations like St. Vincent de Pauls and the Salvation Army have thrift stores and they like hiring people who really need a second chance.

Reply:Alot of companies will still hire you as long as you were not convicted. Also it depends on what it was for. Its best to be honest and up front about it when you apply and in the interview because they will find out and if you didnt tell them then they will not even bother to call you. Explain the situation, "Dr. it up" you have to to make it sound good and say that it was mistakes in your past that yopur not proud of.
Then again if you were not convicted then you were not too guilty right? If its drugs then Id say you hung out with the wrong crowd but didnt do drugs you were at t he wrong place at the wrong time.
If it is theft say I was with someone who was doing it or it was a stupid dare/mistake and it was a very expensive one that I highly regret.
gotta make it sound good and that you HIGHLY regret it.
Also Id see about getting it expunged from your record it cost about 75.00 I think.

I say just apply for all of them and hope you get an offer from at least one. If you get multiple offers than great, but don't limit yourself before you do. I imagine all of them will pay minimum wage, sorry but that's just the way it is (especially when you're young and fairly new to the workforce). As for what would still be fun, I'm sure there's positives and negatives to all of them so it's also probably kind of a toss up. Good luck!

I say just apply for all of them and hope you get an offer from at least one. If you get multiple offers than great, but don't limit yourself before you do. I imagine all of them will pay minimum wage, sorry but that's just the way it is (especially when you're young and fairly new to the workforce). As for what would still be fun, I'm sure there's positives and negatives to all of them so it's also probably kind of a toss up. Good luck!

Nothing with animals since all vet offices want someone with experience. You can volunteer at an animal shelter if they have any openings. This is without pay. Maybe if you have experience with animals, you could dog walk. But if you have no experience, don't try it since you could end up in court if something happens to a beloved pet while it is in your care.

You need support so you can finish high school and then get a marketable skill (or post secondary education). There were single mothers in my college clases; it can be done.
There are very few jobs which will pay enough to allow you to support a child either for 15 year olds or for anyone with Grade 9 education. That is the bottom line.
The kid has needs and should have a decent opportunity at life. If you keep him/her, you need an education.

The only advice I can give you is that people are automatically going to look down upon you because of your age, and because you are pregnant during interviews. Really think about this! They may piss you off and upset you but they are your family!

If you're concerned about seeming confused, you could always simply say that you are trying to better-budget your time and would like a simple list of your responsibilities and duties so that you can make sure to include all of it in the schedule you are trying to make for yourself.

Same thing with Nursing. Check with the State Nursing Board. Also, check with the state Bar Association, or some of the state Nursing associations.
In a few states, if you have been out of prison for at least five to ten years, and have cleared parole, you could be a lawyer...BUT...it would depend upon what you were convicted of, the details of your case, and your record since you have been released from p n p (Prison and Parole). then another box will open - select delete all
Then close explorer then open again .At first pages will be slow once

This will create new cookies.

I understand that you may not want "upfront costs", but if you can afford $55 per month, after 20 months, you are guaranteed to get commissions for doing nothing else. You could make it work faster (there is a program that takes 10 months before you start getting commissions) by paying more and/or trying to recruit other people. But if you want "no upfront costs", the next best thing is paying, but just $55. For that, you end up getting some product, too.

Check with your school, sometimes they have programs where you can get meaningful employment that is career oriented. When I was 15 I got a summer job in a probation court. Ask around and see if your school has something like that.

Once you get in doing bussing (cleaning tables, stocking supplies) you could always move up to wait on people. Hosting is ok too. But once you learn how to wait on people - its very easy quick money for a short amount of time. The people you work with are usually very nice people becaus they deal with the public nicely all day. And if they're not, quit!!! There are many places I quit because people weren't nice to me. There is always a place you will be treated with respect and care. I work at a Perkins and make at least 100 a shift, and thats between the hrs of 8am-2:30pm. Another good idea, is if you work near any of the shores. They'll hire young people for the summer working at food stands, game stands. Plus you get to work outside, and if its not too hot it may be fun meeting tons people while you get some fresh air. Great Adventure? Good luck, I still think the best bet is getting resturaunt experience. Even when I get my full time career, I'll probably still keep waitressing one night a week because it's such quick easy cash.

The best way to get p/t job is to go into your local shops and ask. Do the rounds. If you're interested in dog walking, advertise in the local paper. Try local supermarkets to see if they need shelf stackers.

You don't mention where you are based, I've got property in London, the Thames Valley and Shropshire so that a reasonable cross-section and there is always work for Brickies in all these areas. I would say ring around all the local builders and visit all the builders merchants. Say you are apprentice served and looking for brick laying on a daily rate. If you have the space, build a brick (something) in your garden so you can get them around to see the work.
If you can aford it, take out small ads in the paper or put up notices in the builders merchants. Garden walls is a great way to start - it gives you some confidence and work to show others and keeps you away from building regs ( within reason ) for now
I would steer clear of saying you're finding it hard to find or jsut qualified, talk about the postives. ( timeserved, Can you travel ?, short notice )

He got his first gig today in three weeks and had to drive 60 miles to get to it. Probably the cost of gas will eat up most of what he makes. Even barista jobs in this city are hard to come by. The guy that pours my coffee every morning at my favorite cafe has a masters degree.
OK. Now that I have been rather discouraging I'm going to tell you how to find work--make your own job and be your own boss. The guy who cleans my apartment and several others owned by my landlord makes over 2500/mo. He has got only a sixth grade education. He speaks only limited English.

Talk to other teachers and administrators at your school, see if they know of any vacancies or retirements. Reply:Umpire baseball games. I did that when I was 14, 15, and 16. I got $12 a game and there were 3 games a night (Monday thru Friday) and all day during the weekends. I could make $200 to $300 over the weekend. Also the place I worked paid in cash each night (but I doubt most do that). You can also ref soccer or basketball.

Plus, VT employees are state employees since it's a public (well, technically chartered, now) university. So if you had a full time position, you'd most likely get all the state benefits, which are definitely nice.

I'm a college student and I have a federal workstudy job, but I'm looking for something I can do from home on a tight schedule. I do have high speed internet. Everything posted through my school's career service office requires me to pay for work before I get any, which just sounds shifty.

The only thing is you're competing against people from countries where the hourly rate of pay is a lot lower, so not sure if it would be worth it for you. Also have a look at the jobs listed here, most are applicable to us,canada,europe, its quite good, thats where I found the above link. http://dataentry-jobsearch.blogspot.com/ Its been updated today to include some Craft type jobs which can be done from home, mainly re-distribution, but it possible to make good money from it if you work hard. So many online jobs are out there. In fact, to do any online job, you need not want to invest anything. Make sure, you dont pay anything to get jobs online. It is just that need to pick the one that suits you the best. I hope this helps you and I believe you will find the online job that you love the most. Thanks
Reply:Play online roullette, i know it sounds dumb but you can basically cheat legally at it. i'm gonna make over 200k this year no kidding this website tells you how to do it its pretty easy and by far the funnest job i've ever had www.thisisthecoolest.com you don't have to pay money or anything like that anyone who wants a fee is just trying to scam you usually anyway and when you use real money they give you bounus starter money so you never even risk your money when you play and you can use play money to try it first so you no its not bs... the website says to only make like 300 or 400 a day then stop and go to another casino but i only use one of them and usually stop at about $1000 just about every day and i've been doing it for over a year and they havnt said anything yet.
