Don't believe those "work at home" opportunities - 99% of the time, they are a scam.

At 15, depending on the laws of your state, you may need a work permit before being hired for a job. I would check with your state department of labor.

I assume you have little or no work experience, so I think it may be hard to get hired at a big chain store. With the economy being rough right now, you'd be competing with a lot of adults for a job at a place like Wal-Mart.

Fast food restaurants are a good place to get a start. My first job was at a fast food restaurant when I was 16. It's hard work, but you'll learn good skills that are transferrable to other jobs, like deaing with customers, handling cash, running a cash register, working as a team, etc. I was able to use my fast-food restaurant skills to get a job as a part-time bank teller, and from there was able to move into better-paying corporate bank jobs.

Another suggestion would be a job at an ice cream parlor (Dairy Queen, etc), or at a local swimming pool/community center, or park. You could become certified to be a lifeguard (if you have good swimming skills) or work at a concession stand.

Finally, if you have a community center or Salvation Army in your neighborhood, try talking to someone there about any possible leads on jobs. They may even have some job programs for teenagers.

Good luck with the job search!
Reply:since you are only 15 most places will not hire you. your best bet would be to try and get a job at a summer camp as a counslor in training.or similar. you can also try to find a job at a small restaurant that is family owned.

I'm looking for a work from home job with no upfront fees or money involved do anybody know of any?
If you are proficient in medical terminology, you could consider medical transcription. I was a medical transcriptionist working from home for 13 years while my son was growing up.

Many transcriptionists get their training through a course of study while others carry their medical terminology knowledge with them from other health related fields. You would need to get the terminology down, and then get started. Many companies want experience so there's a catch-22. However, doctors and hospitals may be hiring, and after a time you can work from home as many transcriptionists do.

Im am 14 and i am currently looking for a job?
when I was your age i got my first Saturday/holiday job by literally going from shop to shop locally, asking if they had any jobs. The benefit of doing this instead of writing on spec, is that the potential employer can see you, they can see you are well-groomed and nicely-spoken and personable and bright, and they will value your initiative.

If you do this, make sure you are dressed appropriately, well-groomed and take copies of your CV with you. And don't be afraid to ask advice from shop owners - they might not have any jobs but they might know someone else who does.

I am looking for a job and I have a felony deferred judegement, do you know of anyone who will hire me?

Look into, harm reduction outreach programs, substance abuse, any prevention organizations, things along those lines.

there's always hope. I did 5 yrs in prison for robbery and when I was released I used my life experiences on my resume. I had many interviews and was offered many positions with numerous organizations. The pay grade is good between 35,000 - 80,000+. I give talks in prisons, crisis centers, schools etc..... you can use ur experience for positive. be dilligent and don't get discouraged. By the way I was also called for several civil service jobs after acing the exams. hey we have options. let me know what area ur from maybe I can help. peace

Once upon a time, there was an independently owned restaurant in my town run by a man who wanted to help people who had been in jail or prison start over. He really made a difference. Unfortunately the restaurant burnt down and he didn't rebuild. After that another man started a bakery where he employed people who had been homeless or had other issues.

The point is, there might be someone in your community with such a commitment.

Organizations like St. Vincent de Pauls and the Salvation Army have thrift stores and they like hiring people who really need a second chance.

Yes, there are people willing to take a chance on you. There just aren't very many of them.
Reply:maybe you want to try at the factory or manufacturing company or something like that as an assembly line worker just to get your foot in the door. good luck with your job search. please do not give up because i am sure that you are not alone and it is not the end of this world.
Reply:Maybe Burger King ^_^
Reply:I work in the auto industry(auto body shops, auto repair) in California, and it seems they really dont care or drug test as long as you can work hard.
Reply:department stores as long as you didnt steal
Reply:Try construction if your a guy, and be stright with the boss. Maybe he'll give you a second chance. Prove to him you can change.

If your a woman, try something else, but do the same. People like it when you don't lie to them.
Reply:Alot of companies will still hire you as long as you were not convicted. Also it depends on what it was for. Its best to be honest and up front about it when you apply and in the interview because they will find out and if you didnt tell them then they will not even bother to call you. Explain the situation, "Dr. it up" you have to to make it sound good and say that it was mistakes in your past that yopur not proud of.

Then again if you were not convicted then you were not too guilty right? If its drugs then Id say you hung out with the wrong crowd but didnt do drugs you were at t he wrong place at the wrong time.

If it is theft say I was with someone who was doing it or it was a stupid dare/mistake and it was a very expensive one that I highly regret.

gotta make it sound good and that you HIGHLY regret it.

Also Id see about getting it expunged from your record it cost about 75.00 I think.
Reply:depends on the crime.... there is always someone who will hire you, but if it is seriously... you may not be able to work anywhere too prestigious... the only way to find out is to go out there and get interviews and until you find someone

Looking for info on work @home jobs?

Mom of 3 very interested @woring at home, don't have much money to spend to start with. right now im just looking to earn 300-500 a month any help would be great.
Looking for info on work @home jobs?
http://makemoney.yacam.altervista.org here you can find information and start your online marketing without one cent and no credit card require.

How does it work?

You can earn money by placing ads on your website or in your emails. For this there are various commission models. For instance your receive a commission if a sale is being made via your ad.

So, how do you get to take part?

Register

Apply for partnership with the partner-program of one or more merchants. The merchant will email you when your application has been accepted

After the successful application you place the html-code of an advertising media like a link or banner on your homepage or in your emails and can immediately earn commissions with it.

What are my earning options?

Your earnings are generated by:

View, pay per view - for the display of advertising materials (banner, logo, product image, text link)

Click, pay per click - when somebody clicks an advertising material

Lead, pay per lead - when you acquire a new customer

Sale, pay per sale - when you broker a sale

pay per lifetime - recurring sales commission (e.g., subscription renewal)

pay per period - a fixed fee which is calculated for an individually defined billing period (e.g., fixed monthly fee)

affiliate merchants can offer you a range of condition models, for example, 鈧?.15 per click, 鈧?0 per lead and an additional 25% of the sale brokered. The visitors to whom the sales are being brokered have a period of 30 days to decide on their purchase. During this time, you are entitled to all leads and sales resulting from the visitor's activities.

Every merchant offers all four condition models (view, click, lead, sale). These may also be combined and allocated individually for each affiliate.

When and how will I be paid?

As a rule, only confirmed transactions will be paid out. Any pending transactions first need to be confirmed by the merchant in question. At the point of billing (end of the month), the confirmed transactions need to total 鈧?5 or higher (up to the payout limit) for a credit note to be generated. In "Profile" %26gt; "Account information" (login section), you can authorise this credit to be paid out before the 10th of the following month. For further details, see the question "How do I authorise payment of my credits?" below. All authorised credits are booked for payment on the 9th of each month. Even if you miss the deadline, you can still authorise the payment. In this case, the payment is booked in the next month. Bank transfers are the only payment method available within Germany. If the payout threshold is not reached at the end of the month or if you did not authorise the credit, your existing credit will be carried over to the next month.

Strengths of the business model

The strategic advantages of this business model include:

No time constraints. Bids can be placed at any time (24/7). Items are listed for a number of days (usually between 1 and 10, at the discretion of the seller), giving purchasers time to search, decide, and bid. This convenience increases the number of bidders.

No geographical constraints. Sellers and bidders can participate from anywhere that has internet access. This makes them more accessible and reduces the cost of "attending" an auction. This increases the number of listed items (ie.: number of sellers) and the number of bids for each item (ie.: number of bidders). The items do not need to be shipped to a central location, reducing costs, and reducing the seller's minimum acceptable price.

Intensity of social interactions. The social interactions involved in the bidding process are very similar to gambling. The bidders wait in anticipation hoping they will "win" (eBay calls the successful bidder the "winner"). Much like gambling addiction, many bidders bid primarily to "play the game" rather than to obtain products or services. This creates a highly loyal customer segment for eBay.

Large number of bidders. Because of the potential for a relatively low price, the broad scope of products and services available, the ease of access, and the social benefits of the auction process, there are a large numbers of bidders.

Large number of sellers. Because of the large number of bidders, the potential for a relatively high price, reduced selling costs, and ease of access, there are a large number of sellers.

Network economies. The large number of bidders will encourage more sellers, which, in turn, will encourage more bidders, which will encourage more sellers, etc., in a virtual spiral. The more the spiral operates, the larger the system becomes, and the more valuable the business model becomes for all participants.

Captures consumers' surplus. Auctions are a form of first degree price discrimination. As such, they attempt to convert part of the consumers' surplus (defined as the area above the market price line but below the firm's demand curve) into producers' surplus. On-line auctions are efficient enough forms of price discrimination that they are able to do this.

It's a program called CashCrate. Companies like E-Bay will actually pay you to try their products and services. You don't even have to leave your computer! Most people make a few HUNDRED dollars per MONTH! All you have to do is spend a bit of time on the internet! As an added bonus, you get 20% of what your referrals make, and 10% of what their referrals make!

Also, you will receive a check from CashCrate every month...you don't have to worry about tons of checks from various companies floating through the mail!

And...they accept teenagers to do this too!

I'm 16 and looking for a job during the school year?
I say just apply for all of them and hope you get an offer from at least one. If you get multiple offers than great, but don't limit yourself before you do. I imagine all of them will pay minimum wage, sorry but that's just the way it is (especially when you're young and fairly new to the workforce). As for what would still be fun, I'm sure there's positives and negatives to all of them so it's also probably kind of a toss up. Good luck!

I will be turning 16 in a few months and I'm looking for a summer job.?

I would really like to do something with animals such as a pet shop or something, but the age requirement is 18. Any suggestions on possible jobs??
I will be turning 16 in a few months and I'm looking for a summer job.?
Nothing with animals since all vet offices want someone with experience. You can volunteer at an animal shelter if they have any openings. This is without pay. Maybe if you have experience with animals, you could dog walk. But if you have no experience, don't try it since you could end up in court if something happens to a beloved pet while it is in your care.
Reply:Perhaps a local veterinarian needs someone to help out around the office/hospital. You probably wouldn't be actually working with the animals (answering phone, sweeping, cleaning up poop) but it's a good way to get your foot in the door. Another idea is volunteering at your local animal shelter but of course you wouldn't get paid for that.
Reply:may be you could look into something at your local animal shelter. if it 's 18 also, you could always volunteer.

How about getting into fast food as management. Start on the ground floor and work up. How fast, depends on you but the opportunities in the big fast food chains are amazing. Look into it.

Am 15 years old and am pregnant.. am looking for a job for i can support my kid without the help of the family

You need support so you can finish high school and then get a marketable skill (or post secondary education). There were single mothers in my college clases; it can be done.

There are very few jobs which will pay enough to allow you to support a child either for 15 year olds or for anyone with Grade 9 education. That is the bottom line.

The kid has needs and should have a decent opportunity at life. If you keep him/her, you need an education.
Am 15 years old and am pregnant.. am looking for a job for i can support my kid without the help of the family
The only advice I can give you is that people are automatically going to look down upon you because of your age, and because you are pregnant during interviews. Find someone who can help you make up a resume if you don't already have one, and try purchasing some interviewing books at a book store, they can really help your chances. Other than that, you newspaper, careerbuilder.com and your local workforce center can help you find a job.
Reply:Sweetheart, you're going to need help. Go to your family and ask for help. The best thing you could do, for both you (child) and your child is to give him/her to a mother and father that can raise him properly in a functional, loving home. Let the thumbs fly, but answer this: Would you want to be raised by a 15-year-old kid who hates her mom and works at McDonalds?
Reply:Wow, good luck hun. The only place I know of is fast food. That won't be enough to do it on your own. Might need your parents help for a while... at 16 a lot of places will hire you. Try a telemarketing place after you turn 16. They usually pay very well and you get to sit your whole shift. Keep your chin up and don't be too proud to ask your family for a little help until you can do it on your own.
Reply:I really admire that you're still having the child - good luck! =] Try working at a call centre (well, I'm from Canada); they tend to pay a bit more than the minimum wage. If not, I suppose jobs like babysitting, waitress/fastfood/restaurants, department stores/grocery stores...they are always hiring, so you're likely to get a job there. Again, if not - try a mall - clothing stores may be hiring now since it's closer to summertime. Good luck!
Reply:Too late to bash on you now, so I won't. No, you can't support your child without family help; you, being a child yourself, can't even support yourself. Wait till your're about 18, apply for all these benefits and then the taxpayer can raise your child. Heck, keep having 'em and you may never have to work or nothing. Good luck.
Reply:good luck sweetie!! why dont you try baby sitting for your neighbors. this will provided money and let you practice on what its going to be like raising your actual child. if your good in school, consider tutoring. idk what the labor laws are like where you live but for PA you need to be 16 to have a "real job"...overall dont get a job that is going to over exert yourself. you are going to need your energy to get through this pregnancy... good luck sweet heart! also if you can try to get a job w/ benifits like medical that will cover you and your soon to be born baby!!
Reply:lol, good luck with that.

u will find a job. u can't even get a job, until u r 16. u would need your parents signature to get working papers. there is alot of restrictions with hiring minors to work for a company.

but i doubt u won't need your family.

i was pregnant at 16, so i know. there are some college educated woman out there who are barely making it.
Reply:Why would you want to do that? Your fam is the most important thing right now! If I were you, I would stay in school and apply for medicaid (insurance) and WIC (food assistance) and keep your lil butt in school. Then only work in the evenings at a restaurant to telemarketing place. Then graduate and go to college! Your family is your family adn should be there iwth you 100% no matter what is happening! Really think about this! They may piss you off and upset you but they are your family!
Reply:You need the support of your family or some adult in this situation. Without a high college degree, much less a h.s. diploma, it is going to be very difficult for you to support yourself and a child. Ask for help from family and friends.
Reply:Most ccompanies aren't going to hire anyone under the age of 16 esspecially not for a full time position.

Why don't you try being a nannny or babysitting? Offer decent rates and good child care. You are going to need your family, sorry to tell you that.
Reply:Try and ice cream place. I got a job at one years ago, when I was 14.

Good for you for taking responsibilty.

Let your family help you out if they are willing, because I'm sure you will need their love and support too.

good luck
Reply:People hardly hire pregnant people, let alone 15 year old pregnant people. While I admire you for wanting to do this on your own, you need help right now. Best of luck to you.
Reply:Because you are so young, you are going to need the support of your family because there are no jobs out there that are going to pay you enough to not need help.
Reply:15 and pregnant looks like your family wont help any way

go on state aid like every dumb kid

go to his folks if you know who the father is

you should have thought of this first
Reply:good luck thats great idea! but make sure you don't turn away all support everyone needs some kind of support network no matter what your situation.
Reply:you wont be able to get a job until your sixteen and you would still need your parents help. also good luck with everything
Reply:good luck i hope you can do it girl. i mean that in the nicest possible way
Reply:no matter how much you work you will still need the support of your family so try not to do to much that your cant handle b/c it can be a hand full
Reply:Mcdonalds will hire 14 and up. Not many other places will. Try there.
Reply:Very responsible of you!!!!!! Try your local newspaper...
Reply:Fast foods are about your only option being 15.
Reply:u cant get a job as ur under 16 therfore dont have ur ni number basicly ur screwed
Reply:babysitting can bring in a lot more money then you think..

Looking for a reputable virtual job company to work at home for?

If looking for a JOB, what are your marketable skills and previous experiences? Build a list and use that to begin your search. There are legitimate opportunities available in areas such as customer service, telemarketing, virtual assistant, tutoring, transcription, translation, blogging, writing, editing, marketing, nursing, and technical support.

General rule of thumb: Never pay for a job (businesses, on the other hand, usually involve some expenses).

Find a rep to contact, check out their websites, ask questions, do your own independent research. Check resources such as www.bbb.org for potential scams. You can find job leads in the Telecommuting Moms folder on the WAHM.com forum. I have also researched and compiled several resources for freelance and telecommuting work on my site.
Looking for a reputable virtual job company to work at home for?
The WAH site is great, tons of helpful information, job listings, etc. There are tons of WAH job forums out there and they almost always have available job folders.

Also try the freelance sites, that's where I get a lot of my clients from. I also work for this company: http://document-do-it-yourself-service.c... they're always accepting applications.

How can i look for job discribtion on the web?

i'm a physician , posted as a director of quality improvement department in our hospital , i want to know what is exactly my job discribtion, and what are my responsiblities?
How can i look for job discribtion on the web?
It's rather disappointing that a physician, and especially the director of quality improvement needs to ask this question on Yahoo answers.
Reply:Most of the time, unless you are in a national service hospital or equivalent, you are not going to find these on the web. In fact, many places simply skip putting down a job description and responsibilities - they expect to turn in that they have one to meet some requirement and let it lay there.

or

http://www.ahqa.org/employment/default.c...

or

Google 'director of quality improvement'

or

Ask the people in Human Resources or whoever posted you to this position what it means.

I hope that you spell better there than here.

"how can i look for job description on the web?

I'm a physician, posted as a director of quality improvement department in our hospital , I want to know what is exactly my job description, and what are my responsibilities?"
Reply:I need an answer 4 this Q too !!
Reply:Well you could try looking up a few other hospitals, and see if they have a job opening posted with the listing of duties and responsibilities.

Keep in mind though, that your particular hospital might have it's own set of expectations from your position.

It might require swallowing some pride, but you might want to simply ask the person that you report to. If you're concerned about seeming confused, you could always simply say that you are trying to better-budget your time and would like a simple list of your responsibilities and duties so that you can make sure to include all of it in the schedule you are trying to make for yourself.

Good luck

Im looking for a a job in law or nursing but i am a convicted felon help?

a class b felony in indiana for burglary, did 3 yrs 5 months i want to get into law but i k now i can never be a lawyer. what proffessional carrees are limited to me
Im looking for a a job in law or nursing but i am a convicted felon help?
For law careers, you need to check with the your State Supreme Court's Disciplinary Commission to see how long you have to 'wait' until you clear your parole from that Class B. Same thing with Nursing. Check with the State Nursing Board. Also, check with the state Bar Association, or some of the state Nursing associations.

In a few states, if you have been out of prison for at least five to ten years, and have cleared parole, you could be a lawyer...BUT...it would depend upon what you were convicted of, the details of your case, and your record since you have been released from p n p (Prison and Parole). Of course, you would have to move to those states. Again, the Disciplinary Commission would have that information.
Reply:with your spelling, quite a few. what did you do, do tell!
Reply:You could become a legal assistant or a veterinarians asst, it sort of sounds like your backing yourself into a corner with only jobs that help people ,you are wanting to help, but I think thats just holding you back , you can study law as a hobby or you can study medicine as a hobby ,no one can keep you from learning what you desire to learn, but to make money without friction you might want to consider your own business or automobile repair, or an acting career as a nurse or a lawyer or a tow truck driver or truck driver .

What kind of job should I be looking for?
Maybe a career in banking.
Reply:Maybe an entry level bookkeeper? or to get your feet wet, any secretarial work that may lead to a promotion on the financial field.

I started on a receptionist job and then got promoted to accounts payable. So it is doable as long as you show that you are adept and can learn. Take some college classes so you know a bit or if your family has a business, try to get involved so you get some experience.

Good Luck!

I have found a wonderful home based business that is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange, and has been in business for over 35 years. I have been working with this company for over two years. There is potential for multiple streams of income [i.e. Bonuses, overrides, residual, and direct compensation]. They are nationally advertising and have been featured in several popular magazines like Money, Forbes, Fortune, and Black Enterprise. I have been made aware of a promotion for the month of January 2008 in which new associates can have their start up fee reimbursed and receive a Palm TX (nearly a $400 value) by meeting specified requirements. Their looking for outgoing motivated, and goal oriented individuals. There is less than 2% market penetration nation wide, leaving the market wide open. Great training tools, one on one coaching, and a valuable and affordable service with little to no competition, make this home based business stand out from the rest. If you would like more information please feel free to contact me at RexWhitePPL@gmail.com.

Best Wishes,

Reply:Before you quickly conclude that this must be a scam, let me tell you that this program is offered by a reputable company called Nutronix.

I understand that you may not want "upfront costs", but if you can afford $55 per month, after 20 months, you are guaranteed to get commissions for doing nothing else. You could make it work faster (there is a program that takes 10 months before you start getting commissions) by paying more and/or trying to recruit other people. But if you want "no upfront costs", the next best thing is paying, but just $55. For that, you end up getting some product, too.

Im looking for a job in New Jersey and I am 15. Where can I go?

Where in NJ? I am from southern NJ. I got a job at 15 at Chick-Fil-A in my local mall, one of my friends got a job at Auntie Ann's Pretzels at 15.
Im looking for a job in New Jersey and I am 15. Where can I go?
Check with your school, sometimes they have programs where you can get meaningful employment that is career oriented. When I was 15 I got a summer job in a probation court. Ask around and see if your school has something like that.
Reply:I don't know if you're male or female, but I guess it doesn't really matter. If you're male, you may not enjoy a tanning salon that much. But resturaunt work is a great way to make cash. Once you get in doing bussing (cleaning tables, stocking supplies) you could always move up to wait on people. Hosting is ok too. But once you learn how to wait on people - its very easy quick money for a short amount of time. The people you work with are usually very nice people becaus they deal with the public nicely all day. And if they're not, quit!!! There are many places I quit because people weren't nice to me. There is always a place you will be treated with respect and care. I work at a Perkins and make at least 100 a shift, and thats between the hrs of 8am-2:30pm. Another good idea, is if you work near any of the shores. They'll hire young people for the summer working at food stands, game stands. Plus you get to work outside, and if its not too hot it may be fun meeting tons people while you get some fresh air. Great Adventure? Good luck, I still think the best bet is getting resturaunt experience. Even when I get my full time career, I'll probably still keep waitressing one night a week because it's such quick easy cash.

I looking for a job as a comic strip artist?
See if you can start it in a small publication, newsletter, church bulletin or some local newspaper. Then once you have done that for awhile you can move to bigger markets. That way you will have some experience and bigger publicatins can see you can meet deadlines , schedules and conflicts that may arise.
Reply:The economy is creating problems with jobs everywhere, so you are going to have a problem. But if you want to work in this industry you are going to need an extensive portfolio, meaning many samples of your work. I suggest that you continue to draw your own comic strip and see if you can get a fan base. In addition, visit comic conventions and bring your art work. Opening connections with the comic pros is always a good thing, even if the opening is just a greeting and a handshake.
Reply:draw a comic strip of different occupations using people in your area, get their photograph then show them to those specific people, attorneys, doctors, artists, etc. They will see themselves in those comic's, set a price. You will never know what will be ongoing until you try this. As you know, comic's do relate with people personalities so, why not use local individuals in a one page comic strip. I would be glad to buy one if I seen myself as the cartoon figure. Then, how many people would show it ? You may find your gift, "your personalized comic strip" drawn and sold by... (its just an immediate idea that had arrived while reading your ad)

You can write niche content and make some money via Google Adsense or Yahoo Publisher Network. Both are pay per click programs. Check out this case study https://www.google.com/adsense/askthebui... It's about Askthebuilder.com earning nearly $30,000 a month with Google Adsense.

Create sites via free hosting. This way you need not invest any money. Just your valuable time to create websites. You may not get your 200 a week almost immediately but with the right methods and hard work, it's definitely a good source of passive income which will come sooner or later.

I am looking for an online job ( or work from home job) that is not a scam. Can anyone help me?

More and more people are looking to join the online work-from-home businesses where they can enjoy tax benefits, flexible hours and the freedom of being their own boss while earning a residual income.

If this is something you're looking into, then start figuring out what the current market trend is, find something in that trend that excites you....something you'd really enjoy doing and start researching companies from there.

Of course, you want to beware of that "get rich quick" and "pay us this amount of money first and then we'll show you how" sort of thing. .

Of the companies that appear to be legitimate, check out what they're offering you and if that fits what you want, and if it does, then look even harder - inside and out - at that company. Find out what kind of training and ongoing support they'll offer you as well, as that can be such a crucial point to your success.

Once you're satisfied that everything is above board, then go for it! The trend is swinging very quickly to online home based businesses and it can be very lucrative.

16 year old looking for summer job?

I'm 16 and I'm looking for a job over the summer. I've heard of sites that can help find employment, but I don't know of any good ones for my age group. Any suggestions?
16 year old looking for summer job?
When I was 16 I got my first job working at a Supermarket. I ended up working there for 2 years until I graduated and it was good because I got promoted to Customer Service and I got paid every week plus they would cash the check in the store for you for free. So that is an option but it really depends on what YOU are interested in. You should check out temporary agencies in your area....do a search for temp agencies with your city and state. You could try Craigslist.com since that has I believe all the states listed. Uploading your resume on Yahoo Hotjobs and Monster would help also. Even though you may not have any work experience put all your volunteer work, courses, GPA, class rank, interests, hobbies, etc. Then search for jobs like Camp Counselors, or Sales positions that may be available in your local mall. If all else fails ask adults of family and friends if they have any openings for summer interns or use for an assistant. Some colleges and university offer summer internships for high school students. Good Luck!!!!

Hi!

Have u thought about alternatives?

I lost my job few years ago and after that I just couldn't find a new one. Nobody was hiring. I am so glad that my friend told me about this...

I work from home for few years. I will show you my PayPal account. The company is legit and has been on the market since 1999. They pay me every time - no issues! You can start for free and work whenever you have time.

But, if you decide to work from home (online), you need somebody to show you what do you have to do, otherwise u will do too many unnecessary things. I started on my own, and I was not making any progress for quite a while.

Please take a look at my video. You will get the idea what is it all about. I would like you to watch it because you can see payment proof in it, so you will know that I am not lying or anything. Video : http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x9hbxy_...

I have just finished an apprenticeship in bricklaying i have an nvq 3, and looking for a job but find in hard.

hi im justing looking for someone that can give me info on jobs in construction, im 21 and a very keen and hard worker and have an nvq level 3 in bricklaying cheers
I have just finished an apprenticeship in bricklaying i have an nvq 3, and looking for a job but find in hard.
Nice one, congratulations.

You don't mention where you are based, I've got property in London, the Thames Valley and Shropshire so that a reasonable cross-section and there is always work for Brickies in all these areas. I would say ring around all the local builders and visit all the builders merchants. Say you are apprentice served and looking for brick laying on a daily rate. If you have the space, build a brick (something) in your garden so you can get them around to see the work.

If you can aford it, take out small ads in the paper or put up notices in the builders merchants. Garden walls is a great way to start - it gives you some confidence and work to show others and keeps you away from building regs ( within reason ) for now

I would steer clear of saying you're finding it hard to find or jsut qualified, talk about the postives. ( timeserved, Can you travel ?, short notice )

Best of luck, the work is out there for you.

It really good to hear of someone qualifying to do a "proper job"

Make sure you get paid every week if you can, don't let it go on for weeks. Agree this before you start, once you get a builder interested, some of them are right sharks.

Best of luck
Reply:Have you tried visiting local construction sites and asking the site manager?

Look for housing developments going up, failing that look at ads from bricklayers in the classifieds of your local paper, ring them up and see if they will take you on a weeks trial to see how your skills are.

If you are keen and good - one of them will snap you up, people, of whatever profession are always looking for good workers - they're harder to find than you might imagine.

Good luck
Reply:Just make a resume. Take it to all brick companies and to all construction companies. Advertise in the news paper and create your own business.
Reply:just keep looking, apprenticeship jobs are hard to find

I'm not sure, what state are you in? Around here, at 15 1/2, most restaurants will hire part time busboys and waiters and dish washers, including McDonald's. The library hires pages at 15 1/2. Also, try local buisnesses, rather than chain stores and whatnot

Try your college career center. Also (i know this is late) but if you did an internship before, the companies you interned at usually like to hire you because they know you and know how you work.

Also try posting your resume on Monster.com but if you're looking for a quick buck, the malls are always a nice and quick option until you find something that you really like. Hope this helps.

I am looking for a good answer to this question. For a job application.?

Give specific examples of your ability and experience in planning, prioritizing, and meeting unexpected demands.
I am looking for a good answer to this question. For a job application.?
i would answer it using my previous job experience. Ex: In my past position as a ________ I had to deal with all of these issues. It was my job to PLAN the meeting agenda for our bimonthly meetings. In my position as _______ i had to PRIORITIZE in order to get the most important things done first. Last but not least i dealt with UNEXPECTING DEMANDS by not getting to anxious. (give an example). I think I am more than capable of dealing with any issues that may arise in this position.
Reply:FIRST OF ALL, NEVER SAY THAT "I DONT KNOW" OR "IVE NEVER REALLY HAD THAT EXPIRIENCE" they automatically turn you down. My father is a manager at a Wal*Mart, and i asked him about good interviews. This question is most likely going to tell the employer whether you are going to be organized, or a mess.

I would say that a good answer for this question would be something as follows:

As far as planning and prioritizing goes, I am faced with many decisions every day. I need to figure out when to fit in my chores, schoolwork, and when to relax. Since all of these are important, I need to prioritize. Is the schoolwork due soon? Can the dusting wait another day? Do i have substantial rest? Do i have enough time to fit them all in? Prioritizing to me is not a question whether I can fit everything it, but the most efficient and effective way to do things, in a set time period.

Meeting unexpected demands- When my parents come home from work at night, they are usually tired and need rest. Perhaps they are stressed out. They expect me to do the dishes and dust(for example). However, the floor needs sweeped and the carpet, vaccumed. Although i receive nothing for doing a little extra, This gives my parents more time to relax and do other things that may need done.
Reply:use these keywords when listing your experience.

i.e., planned....prioritized my workload.....met and dealth with constant unexpected demands from coworkers and the public etc in a calm, professional, and courteous manner utilizing my excellent customer service skills.

Several of my friends, all highly qualified technical specialists, are now seeking employment. My best friend has been looking now for a year and a half. He works as a temporary. He got his first gig today in three weeks and had to drive 60 miles to get to it. Probably the cost of gas will eat up most of what he makes. Even barista jobs in this city are hard to come by. The guy that pours my coffee every morning at my favorite cafe has a masters degree.

OK. Now that I have been rather discouraging I'm going to tell you how to find work--make your own job and be your own boss. The guy who cleans my apartment and several others owned by my landlord makes over 2500/mo. He has got only a sixth grade education. He speaks only limited English.
Reply:Try different districts. I would go to every district in your general area, submit applications and resumes. Be aggressive. Talk to other teachers and administrators at your school, see if they know of any vacancies or retirements. Try networking with individual on the school board and see if they can give a good word down at the Board of Education office.
Reply:There are numerous teacher placement agencies online. Most charge the schools, not the teachers. Try a few.

How about delivering newspapers to homes.
Reply:Umpire baseball games. I did that when I was 14, 15, and 16. I got $12 a game and there were 3 games a night (Monday thru Friday) and all day during the weekends. I could make $200 to $300 over the weekend. Also the place I worked paid in cash each night (but I doubt most do that). You can also ref soccer or basketball.

Sounds like it might be a hoax.... If it's an unadvertised job, then why would it be "advertised" on a website?

Why don't you try looking for work in Manila first? Most foreign employers look for at least 2 to 3 years work experience during hiring especially ones from overseas.
Reply:Yes. If you have friends here in Singapore get them to send you Saturday edition of The Straits Times. (at least the employment section)

there are enough accountants locally, so it will be difficult to justify the need for a foreigner to do the same to the government to get permits or pass

Check out jobs.vt.edu for positions open at Virginia Tech. Since it's a huge university, they have all sorts of different positions available. Plus, VT employees are state employees since it's a public (well, technically chartered, now) university. So if you had a full time position, you'd most likely get all the state benefits, which are definitely nice.

You can also check out jobs.virginia.gov for a listing of state jobs anywhere in Virgina.

Isn't Blacksburg so much quieter now that most students have left for the summer?

Looking for on line job as a telemarketer starting out free?
There is no such thing as a job online. If it is offered for free you will spend a fortune on advertising to drive the traffic to your website or chasing new associates to make a few measly dollars.

Anybody offering you this pie in the sky deal should be able to provide you with their proof of income for at least 12 months. If they can't, then they are offering you a scam.

Call Temp services (look under employment agencies, temporary in the yellow pages or at www.switchboard.com ) and see if they have something in warehouse or light industrial type work during hrs you would not have classes. Check WallMart, KMart,Target, Sears etc. They will be hiring for holidays at least and good workers have a good chance of staying on after the holidays are over, Check Fed Ex and UPS too. Dollar stores etc will also be hiring for holidays but pay less and less chance of staying on.

Talk to placement office of the school in question and see if they know of something, Also ask placement office to give you ideas on how to present yourself to employers. Be neat, clean, leave off facial rings and studs, wear dress pants or chinos and a button shirt for interview even tho you'd never wear that for some of the jobs. Invest in a neat haircut or pull longer hair back in an elastic thing. You are wanting to make a good impression on someone who is probably pretty conservative.

Looking for a medical transcription job. Where do I start?

I have been going to school for med transcription and have 4 classes left, I want to do this to be flexible because I am a single mother of two. Now they tell me they are ending the program at my school because it's hard to find jobs in this field. I really want to finish this and be with my kids but how do I go about finding a job. HELP!!!
Looking for a medical transcription job. Where do I start?
Depending on what classes you have completed, there may be some employers who would consider testing you for employment. You can find a list of employers on the AHDI website. If you find that many of them won't test you (which is the first step of the hiring process in this field), you might consider taking the Tier II Basic Program at M-TEC. This is a top-rated school with a 100% placement rate of their graduates. There are even some employers who ONLY hire M-TEC grads.
Reply:The kind of luck you have in finding a job can depend on how good the training from the school is in part. If the school has a good reputation with employers, the chances of finding a job goes up.

Take a look at medical transcription employers' websites and see who might be willing to test a new graduate. Many won't but a few will. This was about six years ago, but that's how I got in with Medquist.

I work from home. I am a distributor of Xango. It is a great business with many benefits. It is the only MLM company that paid off all its bills in the first two years of existence. In its 4th year this company outsold Pepsi and IBM (which are in their 34th or so year) with only one product. In 5 years they are grossing almost a billion dollars. It has been recognized by the American Cancer Society, ESPN magazine, Shape Magazine, and the Wall Street Journal. With no obligation, I would be more than willing to give you more info. bar tendering is UNSKILLED work - so it is highly doubtful that you will get a work permit from any western country, including the ones you mention.
Reply:none of the countries you prefer has a shortage of beverage servers [I assume you mean alcohol]. Thus, unless you already have the right to move there, your entry would be denied.

the best route, then, is to become a food service manager, likely for a large international hotel chain. If successful, they'll then move you to where they need your services -- which might be Bali, or might be Melbourne.
Reply:No problem, here in American our old people gave our industrial might to China so we have tons of low paying service jobs in food and beverage.

I'm looking for a data entry job online? Does anyone know of any?

I'm a college student and I have a federal workstudy job, but I'm looking for something I can do from home on a tight schedule. I do have high speed internet. Everything posted through my school's career service office requires me to pay for work before I get any, which just sounds shifty.
I'm looking for a data entry job online? Does anyone know of any?
I've been doing some work with www.elance.com the past week, all the work is home based, data entry, transcription etc.

The only thing is you're competing against people from countries where the hourly rate of pay is a lot lower, so not sure if it would be worth it for you. Also have a look at the jobs listed here, most are applicable to us,canada, europe, its quite good, thats where I found the above link. http://dataentry-jobsearch.blogspot.com/ Its been updated today to include some Craft type jobs which can be done from home, mainly re-distribution, but it possible to make good money from it if you work hard. So many online jobs are out there. In fact, to do any online job, you need not want to invest anything. Make sure, you dont pay anything to get jobs online. It is just that need to pick the one that suits you the best. I hope this helps you and I believe you will find the online job that you love the most. Thanks
