I am looking for a job as a carer can one tell me where to get it?Cant find any in Job centre?

Networking (friends, family who work) is the best way.

Otherwise, you can work through temporary agencies to get the experience at the jobs you desire.

You should be more specific regarding the type of job, industry, and education you have.

Other people have mentioned Gumtree, local newspapers and adverts in your local shops. I would suggest using a magazine called The Lady too.

Good Luck
Reply:Give all the local homes in your area a call and ask them if they need staff.

I wished you lived near me lol they are crying out for them here in my area. Good luck in your search
Reply:Look in the local newspaper, or approach the Local Council and ask to go on their employment list as a carer.
Reply:try your local paper job section
Reply:Best to look in your local paper. Why not advertise for a position yourself giving your qualifications ect?

Hope these sugesstions help and good luck with your future employment. ;) x
Reply:Phone the nursing homes but the Care Commission want every care worker to train in NVQ level 1 to 3 in Health Care. The jobs can be satisfying if you like cleaning sh*t of old people and working shifts for the minimum wage.
Reply:its your choice whether you work or look for a job.
Reply:Gumtree website is quite good, your local newspaper, also keep an eye out for local adverts in corner shops and post offices. It all depends on what you mean by the term 'carer' house hold help? help with cooking? tidying? socialising? bathing?

decide what you want to do, what area, older people or jsut general adults?
