I am looking for a job and I have a felony deferred judegement, do you know of anyone who will hire me?

Look into, harm reduction outreach programs, substance abuse, any prevention organizations, things along those lines.

there's always hope. I did 5 yrs in prison for robbery and when I was released I used my life experiences on my resume. I had many interviews and was offered many positions with numerous organizations. The pay grade is good between 35,000 - 80,000+. I give talks in prisons, crisis centers, schools etc..... you can use ur experience for positive. be dilligent and don't get discouraged. By the way I was also called for several civil service jobs after acing the exams. hey we have options. let me know what area ur from maybe I can help. peace

Good luck!

Once upon a time, there was an independently owned restaurant in my town run by a man who wanted to help people who had been in jail or prison start over. He really made a difference. Unfortunately the restaurant burnt down and he didn't rebuild. After that another man started a bakery where he employed people who had been homeless or had other issues.

The point is, there might be someone in your community with such a commitment.

Organizations like St. Vincent de Pauls and the Salvation Army have thrift stores and they like hiring people who really need a second chance.

Yes, there are people willing to take a chance on you. There just aren't very many of them.
Reply:maybe you want to try at the factory or manufacturing company or something like that as an assembly line worker just to get your foot in the door. good luck with your job search. please do not give up because i am sure that you are not alone and it is not the end of this world.
Reply:Maybe Burger King ^_^
Reply:I work in the auto industry(auto body shops, auto repair) in California, and it seems they really dont care or drug test as long as you can work hard.
Reply:department stores as long as you didnt steal
Reply:Try construction if your a guy, and be stright with the boss. Maybe he'll give you a second chance. Prove to him you can change.

If your a woman, try something else, but do the same. People like it when you don't lie to them.
Reply:Alot of companies will still hire you as long as you were not convicted. Also it depends on what it was for. Its best to be honest and up front about it when you apply and in the interview because they will find out and if you didnt tell them then they will not even bother to call you. Explain the situation, "Dr. it up" you have to to make it sound good and say that it was mistakes in your past that yopur not proud of.

Then again if you were not convicted then you were not too guilty right? If its drugs then Id say you hung out with the wrong crowd but didnt do drugs you were at t he wrong place at the wrong time.

If it is theft say I was with someone who was doing it or it was a stupid dare/mistake and it was a very expensive one that I highly regret.

gotta make it sound good and that you HIGHLY regret it.

Also Id see about getting it expunged from your record it cost about 75.00 I think.
Reply:depends on the crime.... there is always someone who will hire you, but if it is seriously... you may not be able to work anywhere too prestigious... the only way to find out is to go out there and get interviews and until you find someone
Reply:Yea... McDonalds.

Would you like fries with that?
welsh name
